Ptc-i purge and trap is a full-automatic purge and trap with an electronic cold trap: helium / nitrogen is used as purge gas, which is injected into the sample solution for bubbling; under the continuous air blowing, the volatile components in the sample escape with the purge gas, and are concentrated by a capture device with adsorbent; after a certain purging time, the purge gas is turned off, and the six components are switched off Through the valve, the trap pipe is connected to the carrier gas path of GC. At the same time, the trap pipe is heated rapidly to decompose and absorb the captured sample group, and then enter into GC with carrier gas for analysis. Combined with GC or GC / MS, it can be widely used in environmental analysis, such as the analysis of organic pollutants in drinking water or wastewater, and the analysis of volatile compounds (such as odor components) in food.


Automatic purge and trap main features

  • Strong general performance: it can be combined with any brand gas chromatograph (GC) and (GC-MS);

  • Therefore, it is easy to control the temperature in the whole process by the software, and the temperature can be controlled by the software.

  • The lowest refrigeration temperature is - 30 ℃ (room temperature is 20 ℃), which can meet most of the requirements of low temperature enrichment.

  • The built-in foam sensor can detect the foam in the purge tube to prevent contamination of the sample path and protect the entire analysis system.

  • The trap is separated from the purge tube to reduce cross contamination between samples. During the blowback cycle, compounds blown out of the trap will not flow into the purge tube.

  • The effect of water vapor on GC and GC / MS is greatly reduced.
